Harry L. Aslett

Angier- Harry Aslett died peacefully at Hospice House in Raleigh, NC on April 1, 2024. He was born just outside of London, England to parents John Leoni Aslett and Florence Rose Alice Aslett, nee Budd.

He is predeceased by his parents; his sister, Jean Pratt; his two daughters, Maureen Aslett and Beverley Aslett; and his grandson, Jason Palmer.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Denise Aslett of Angier; his sister, Doreen Richardson of Canada; and his son, John Aslett of Fuquay Varina, NC; he is also survived by grandchildren, Joshua Palmer of Florida and Jessica Aslett of Cary; great-grandchildren Ember Rose Sellers, Joshua Thomas Palmer, Aiden Palmer, MaKenna Palmer, and Harrison Palmer; nieces, Carol Richardson of Canada and Susan Pratt of England; and nephews, Gary Richardson of Canada and David Pratt of England.

Early in his career, Harry served in the Royal Air Force as a flight engineer and did some training in mechanical engineering at Glasgow University in Scotland. Eventually he and his family made their way to the United States and made it their home. Harry was loved by everyone he ever met. He had a way of making people feel comfortable and appreciated. He loved to tell stories that entertained and made people laugh. He loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He will be forever missed by his family. He will be laid to rest at sea off the coast of Ocracoke Island, NC.
