RALEIGH – Harvey Dudley Johnson, 83, passed away at his home on Monday. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Harvey Jasper Johnson and Maggie Sauls Johnson. Dudley served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He also was a member of the Garner Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Kennebec Baptist Church, 9808 Kennebec Church Rd. Angier, NC 27501. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 PM on Wednesday prior to the service at the church. The burial will follow at Middle Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 7009 Rock Service Station Rd. Raleigh, NC 27603. Survivors include his daughters, Deanna Blue and husband, Brett of Coats, Allison Redinger and husband, Nathan of Raleigh; sisters, Barbara Anne Johnson of Raleigh, Shirley Margaret Franks of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Brett and BreAnna Blue of Coats, Avery and Blake Redinger of Raleigh; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Dudley is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Blake Johnson and a brother, Paul Dexton Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LifePoint Church Ministry Center Fund, P.O. Box 311 Willow Spring, NC 27592 in Dudley’s memory.
