FUQUAY-VARINA - Harvey Edwin “Ed” Blackstock, 82, passed away Wednesday. He was born in Gordon County, Georgia on Nov. 8, 1934 to the late Rev. Clyde A. Blackstock and Exene Dillard Blackstock. He was a graduate of Asbury College in Wilmore, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the lovely Wilma Joan Algren whom he married in 1958. He was an early computer programmer who also served in the Army for two years. He loved Jesus and his family and as a reflection, was very active in his church in each of the places he has lived as Sunday school teacher, greeter, usher, and administrative board. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Johnson and husband, Walter, Amy Goodfellow and husband, Timothy, Sarah Bryan and husband, Andrew; grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Karen Johnson, Andrew Goodfellow, Laura Goodfellow, William Goodfellow, Katherine Bryan, Elizabeth Bryan. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 4:00 PM at Neill’s Creek Baptist Church, Angier. Burial will follow in the Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00-3:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
