Hazel Rivers Pleasant

WILLOW SPRINGS- Hazel Rivers Pleasant, 81, passed away Thursday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. A native of Warren County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Gertie Bowling Rivers. Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. The burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. Hazel is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gene Pleasant; daughter, Gina Williams of Willow Springs; son, Mickey Pleasant and wife, Patricia of Willow Springs; sister, Sara Bond of Raleigh; grandchildren, Josh Williams and wife, Brittany of Fuquay-Varina, Jake Williams of North Wilksboro, Jesse Williams of El Paso, TX, Brett Pleasant and wife, Laura of Lillington, Mindi Pleasant of Durham, Matthew Pleasant of Garner; great granddaughter, Emma Grace Pleasant. In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her sister, Marie Council and brother, Jack Rivers. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:45 PM at the funeral home.
