Heather Brookshire Rich

GARNER – Heather Brookshire Rich, 42, passed away on Monday surrounded by her loving family. A native of Durham County, she was the daughter of Ricki Miller Rich and Carol Hoyle Hendrix. Heather worked as a Vet Tech for many years, where she could enjoy all of the animals she loved so much. She also loved the beach and just being in the sun, which seemed to re-energize her. If the sun was nowhere to be found, she could improvise with glitter. More than anything, she loved Kenleigh, her daughter. She spent most of her free time teaching her the motto she lived by, “Though she be but little, She is fierce”.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, at 2:00 pm, in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 Benson Road Garner, NC 27529. The family will receive friends following the service.

Heather is survived by her daughter, Kenleigh Raynor, and Kenleigh’s father Shawn Raynor; parents, Carol Hoyle Hendrix and husband, Keith and Ricki Miller Rich and wife, Vicky; step brother, Jakob Hendrix; best lifelong friends, Evonna Taylor and Devon Avery; aunt and uncle, Richard and Lynn Tavai; and a niece, Sarah Benderoth.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Brandon Rich.
