RALEIGH -Helen Higgins Whitaker, 92, diedSaturday. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Monday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. A loving and devoted wife, mother and friend, she is survived by sons; David Earl Whitaker and wife, Cindy of Clayton, William Edward Whitaker of Raleigh; 2 grandsons, Brandon Bryan Whitaker and wife, Jennifer of Cary and David Blake Whitaker and wife, Paige of Garner and 3 great-grandchildren, Wes and Hannah Whitaker and Luke Whitaker.She was predeceased by her husband, David Henry Whitaker. The family will receive friends 10:00 -11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the service.The family wishes to thank the staff of Carolina House of Cary for their wonderful care of our mother during her stay.Flowers or memorial to Hospice of Wake Co., 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607 will be appreciated.
