Angier - Helen Rose Ferrell Lambert, 88, passed away on October 29th knowing that she was going home to be with her Lord and Savior. Those that knew and loved her always felt comfortable in her presence without really knowing why. She was a beautiful sunrise or sunset that you were compelled to enjoy. Helen was very in touch with her faith and God used her as a vessel to pass His love and joy to others. She was a devoted and faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday school lessons, her Pastor Jay, singing hymns, and listening to gospel music, especially Bill Gaither. She was born and raised in Angier, N.C. Helen worked for many years at Cornell Dubilier in Fuquay and Lufkin in Apex. She took an early retirement to take care of her grandchildren and to grow roses. Of all her accomplishments, her greatest achievements have been in the lives of her family and friends. She had a unique gift to recognize and appreciate the best in others and make them feel loved and lifted by her presence. Her kind heart and brilliant smile made her world sparkle. Her generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family, friends, laughter and lots of good home cooking. She leaves her children and grandchildren with the knowledge that they were truly loved and they know that she loved the Lord. They will never forget the powerful message of her favorite little song Jesus Loves Me. She is survived by her son, Phillip Ray Ferrell and wife, Kay of Lillington; daughter, Debbie Ferrell Cann and husband, Jesse of Angier; grandchildren, Kathy Ferrell Adams and husband, Fred, Amy Ferrell Barber and husband, Bob, Angela Collins Betterton and husband, Brad and, Traci Collins James; great grandchildren, Andrew, Ashleigh, Joel, Katie, and Samuel Adams, Mackenzie and Jackson Barber, Baylee and Wrenn Betterton, Austin and Abbey James; sisters, Juanita Jackson, Glenda German, Betty McLean, and Linda Weeks; brother, Tom Gardner and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
