Helen S. Picket

GARNER- Helen S. Picket, 97, formerly of Garner, passed away Saturday June 18, 2016 at the Masonic and Eastern Star Home in Greensboro. A native of Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Henry and May Bollinger Slaughenhaupt. Helen was a Registered Nurse with Rex Anesthesia until her retirement. She was a member of Garner United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Garner Chapter #321 for over 75 years.  Memorial Service will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Garner United Methodist Church; the family will receive friends after the service.   Helen is survived by daughter; Helen Picket Keller; sons, Bill Picket, Jr. and wife Ellen, James Clark Picket and wife, Susan; grandchildren, David Keller, Russell Picket, Ian Picket, Amanda Picket, Kaitlin Picket; great-grandchildren, Peytun Picket, Addison Keller, Sidney Picket and Amelia Keller.  In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 58 years, W.C. “Bill” Picket, and a sister, Marise Conyers.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to NC Eastern Star Scholarship Fund, P.O.
