Henry Franklin Taylor, Jr.

Mr. Henry Franklin Taylor, Jr. died unexpectedly yet peacefully Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at his home in Raleigh, NC at the age of 66. Henry is survived by his wife, Catherine “Cathi” Tyndall Taylor; and son, Matthew Lee Taylor and his wife Kwon of Port Adelaide, Australia. Henry is preceded in death by his father Henry Franklin Taylor and his mother Violet Newsome of Goldsboro, NC; sister, Frankie Taylor of Goldsboro, NC. Henry was born on November 20th, 1951. He graduated Goldsboro High School in 1970. He served in the US Army from 1971-1972 receiving the National Defense Service Medal as a rifle sharpshooter. Henry met Cathi at a law firm in Goldsboro and they married on December 21st, 1980. Henry was a hardware engineer at the North Carolina State University Nanofabrication Facility for 32 years before retiring Feb 1, 2017. Most importantly, Henry knew the love of Jesus and is now free in his glorious presence. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 29th at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home at 1200 Benson Rd. Garner, NC 27529 at 10am, with a visitation time afterward. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Henry’s life and God’s eternal care for him.
