Herbert Alvin Denton

RALEIGH – Herbert “Toot” Denton, 88, passed away on Sunday at his home. Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late David M. Denton, Sr. and Martha Medlin Denton. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 10th at 2:00 PM at Kennebec Baptist Church Cemetery, Angier. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. He is survived by his brother, Pete Denton (Virginia); sisters, Shirley Potter, Doris Collins, Judy Ball (Len), Peggy Oakley (Andy); sister-in-law, Vera Lee Denton; and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish their memories of him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers, Wayne Denton and David “Wig” M. Denton, Jr; and brother-in-law, Rudy Collins. At other times, the family will be receiving friends at the home of Judy and Len Ball at 9101 Ransdell Road, Raleigh, NC 27603. The family would like to thank everyone for their support and prayers during this difficult time.
