Herman Buck Moore

Garner - Herman Buck Moore, 82, died Saturday surrounded by his loving family. A native of Johnston County, he was the son of the late Hunter and Donnie Parker Moore. A loving husband and father, He was known for his humor and generosity. Buck retired after 35 years of service as a market manager at Big Star/ Colonial Stores.Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at Garner United Methodist Church, Garner. Burial will follow at 2:30 pm at Lees Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Four Oaks.He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patty Moore; daughters, Linda Gayle Edwards and husband, Darryl of Knightdale, Toni Baker and husband, Ken of Garner; sons, Rick Moore and wife, Carol of Grantham, Kenny Mercer of Garner, Don Richmond and wife, Rebecca of Clayton; sisters, Myrtle Lassiter of Four Oaks, Catherine Keen of Four Oaks, Hilda Brown of Selma, Margie Dunn of Pine Level, Faye Adams and husband, John of Garner; brother, Tom Moore of Smithfield; seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his sister, Reba Massengill and his brother, Junius Moore. Family will receive friends Monday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
