Herman Odell “Tink” Clark, 90, died Tuesday, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Beaufort Co., NC, born to Berry and Nettie Fornes Clark on August 20, 1927. Herman served in the US Army, 45th Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict. He was a founding partner of Case Blueprint and Supply Co. in Raleigh. A very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be fondly remembered by all those who knew him. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Myrtle Kite Clark; daughter, Glennie Clark Blalock and husband Terry of Fuquay-Varina; sons, Herman Christopher Clark of Raleigh and William Ashley Clark and wife Alicia of Clayton; grandchildren, Nathan Bell and wife Summer, Noah Bell and wife Lauren, Zachary Clark, Harper Clark and Warner Clark; great-grandchildren, Payson Bell and Finn Bell; as well as his nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 – 1:00 pm Saturday prior to the service. The family would like to thank Dr. Steven Liebowitz, his nurse Lori and Dr. Roy Cromartie for their loving care and attention as well as Transitions LifeCare for their assistance in Dad’s last days.
