RALEIGH – With heavy hearts, we announce the loss of Hilda Gray Creech, 77, currently of Atlantic Beach. Hilda was born September 13, 1938 to the late James and Josephine (Jones) Creech in Selma. She married Harold Ray Creech on December 31, 1954 in Dillon, SC. A long-time resident of Raleigh, Hilda retired from First Citizens Bank after 37 years of service. Hilda enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, tending her flower pots at her beach home, loving her dog, Zoe, and attending gospel singing concerts. Survivors include her sons, Harold Timothy Creech (Gail) of Raleigh and Michael Kyle Creech (Melanie) of Clayton; grandchildren, Monica C. Powell (Curt) of Greenville and Marshall A. Creech of Clayton; great-grandchildren, Ayden Harden and Lyla Gray Powell; sisters, Phyllis Henry of Morehead City and Debbie Woodruff (Gordon) of Smithfield; brother, Randy Creech (Cathy) of Smithfield. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Harold R. Creech; grandson, Jason P. Creech; mother, Josephine Capps; father, James Creech and sister, Jean Ellis. The family will receive family and friends Friday from 6:00–8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner, and all are invited to celebrate her life at a memorial service on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Garner. The burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh.
