Hilda Grey Scott Carver

Hilda Grey Scott Carver, 89, of Raleigh died peacefully early on the morning of April 19, 2023. She

was born September 12, 1933, the firstborn of parents Elbert H. Scott and Nola L. Scott. She was a

people lover, friendly, outgoing, happy, and loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her

husband of 71 years, Paul Carver, daughter Ann (Jimmy Wofford), and son Tim (Miriam Carver), five

grandchildren, Jonathan (Kristen), Garrett (Andrea), Laura (Joe), Sarah (Aaron), Emily (Parker), and

nine great grandchildren Eli, Katie, Liza, Lily, Cooper, Brooks, Levi, Mason, Kori, all who loved their

“Nana” affectionately and all who were greatly loved by Nana.

She graduated from Kenly High School and attended East Carolina University.

She retired from her Office Manager position in 1994.

Grey was a devoted and faithful servant serving on many committees at the church. She also truly

enjoyed attending Bible studies for many years as long as she was able.

Visitation will be held on Monday April 24, 2023, in the Temple Baptist Church sanctuary (1417 Clifton

St, Raleigh, NC) beginning at 12:00pm. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm, also in the church

sanctuary. There will be a private family burial service in Kenly, NC.
