Howell “Wayne” Shaw

Clayton - Howell “Wayne” Shaw, 74, of Clayton, NC passed away September 22nd, 2016. He was a graduate of Garner Senior High School in 1960, where he played football, and he received his AutoCAD drafting certification from NCSU. He was an avid Wolfpack fan, and enjoyed coaching Pop Warner football, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends. He was a dedicated father, loving husband, proud grandfather, and a loyal friend to many. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Laurie Strickland Shaw, his daughter Dawn Shaw, his son Greg Shaw, his two grandsons Brendan and Braden Shaw, his sister Koleta Thompson, his step-sister Ava Tipton, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
