Hubert Hamilton

Hubert Earl Hamilton, age 88, passed away and entered the presence of his Savior February 24, 2025.

He was born August 9, 1936, in Apex, NC. He was a native of Wake County and the son of Henry Hudson Hamilton and Lottie Keith Hamilton.

Hubert married Patricia Yeargan Hamilton on Nov 1, 1958, and was married for 66 loving and devoted years. They lived in Raleigh, NC and most of their years in a house he built with his father. Hubert and Patricia have 3 children, 2 son-in-laws, 1 daughter-in-law, 6 beautiful granddaughters, 1 grandson-in-law and another grandson-in-law come June of this year.

Hubert began working at N.C. State Creamery and then worked at K & L Scrap Service as a supervisor for about 15 years. Hubert always enjoyed his loving wife right by his side, spending time with family as he loved his children, his 6 sweet grandchildren, and the in-laws that became his children and grandchildren also.

Hubert loved to talk to EVERYONE, sharing his love for Jesus. He loved to work and loved helping other people. He knew how to fix most anything. He never met a lawn mower he could not fix as he had so much patience. He loved the mountains, loved carpentry, loved his tools in place, but actually loved everything in its right place. Hubert loved pineapple cake and pound cake, loved food and eating with his friends at Bojangles and Golden Corral, but we realized it wasn't as much about the food as it was most of all about his fellowship with his family and friends.

Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Hudson and Lottie Keith Hamilton, brother Riley Tex Hamilton, and sister Shirley Ann Hamilton.

Hubert is survived by his wife Patricia Yeargan Hamilton, daughter Sherry Hamilton McIntyre (husband Chris), daughter Cindy Hamilton Saunders (husband Wally), son David Earl Hamilton (wife Tish), granddaughters Katie McIntyre (husband Billy Helton), Courtney Saunders (fiance Matt Holcomb), Sarah Clark Hamilton, Anna Hudson Hamilton, Mary Reade Hamilton, and Emory Holt Hamilton, sister Lillie Mae Fitzjurls, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family Sunday March 2, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner, NC.

Services for Hubert Earl Hamilton will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 1:00 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner, NC. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park at 2:00 pm in Raleigh, NC.

Hubert will be deeply missed, but his life will continue to inspire his family and his legacy and many memories will live on through his family and friends.
