Hubert V. Westbrook

GARNER– Hubert V. Westbrook, 87, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024. A native of Sampson County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Marion Westbrook and Emma Westbrook.

In addition to his parents, Hubert is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Peggy Westbrook.

Hubert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. On February 1, 1980, he married the love of his life and best friend, Peggy Westbrook, and together they raised two children whom they both loved very dearly. Early in his career, Hubert served proudly in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he spent many years working for the North Carolina Department of Correction as a Healthcare Technician. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends who will forever hold the memory of him close to their hearts.

Hubert is survived by his loving daughter, Brenda Mann Rogers (Donald) of Garner; son, Darryle Glenn Mann (Ali); grandchildren, Danielle Pascua (Harry), and Kayla Rogers; and great grandchild, Leilani Pascua.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 12:00 PM, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, North Carolina 27529. The family will receive friends and family for a period of visitation an hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 11:45 AM. A committal service will follow at Mount Herman Christian Church Cemetery, 8925 White Oak Rd, Garner, NC 27529.
