Garner- Inez Boyette Sauls, 93, passed away on March 30, 2014. A lifelong resident of Wake County, she was the daughter of Robertson Tony and Belle Eatman Boyette. She was previously a member of both New Bethel Baptist Church and Turner Memorial Baptist Church and most recently, Aversboro Road Baptist Church. For the past eight years, she lived at the Gardens of Wakefield, an independent living community in North Raleigh. She was an excellent homemaker, gardener, and an exceptional cook. However, her most important passion in life was caring for her family and loving the Lord. Inez was employed at NC State University from 1980-1995. She provided extensive professional assistance, including teaching the use of the Electron Scanning Microscope. She also had significant duties with the Zoology Department, where she was loved and respected by professors and the many graduate students she helped along the way. Funeral Services will be 2:30 pm Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, 1200 Benson Road, Garner. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Clayton. Survivors include her sons, Rex Sauls of Statesboro, Ga. and Tony Sauls of Sneads Ferry, NC; sister, Ruby Lapio and brother, Robert Boyette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger H. Sauls, as well as brothers, Ray, RT, and Worth; sisters, Sudie and Anne.
