Raleigh - Inge Sausenthaler Poole, 82, passed away Wednesday. Inge was born and raised in Germany and then married Timothy Ray Poole on August 17, 1959. Most of all, Inge loved her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and Oma. She was the true meaning of "always be humble and kind". Inge was an excellent seamstress. She sewed many things over the years. She made shirts, pants, dresses, curtains, even her daughter’s wedding dress. She was an excellent cook. She prepared delicious homemade meals. Inge excelled at all kinds of crafts. It wasn’t unusual to see a bag of yarn at her feet with her crochet needle in her hand, crocheting a blanket or caps to send to cancer patients in the hospital. Inge loved the ladies at Ebenezer United Methodist Church and being part of their outreach. She spent many hours with them quilting and crafting and fellowshipping. Inge supported a child through the Child Care Fund and received a certificate when she reached the 33-year mark of support. Inge loved volunteering at Garner Area Ministries. It made her happy to know that she was able to give to others. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 29th 11:00 am at Ebenezer United Methodist Church on Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh. Burial will immediately follow. The family will receive friends in the church annex following the graveside service.
