Irene Johnson Sauls Poole

July 30, 1930 — March 24, 2015

GARNER–Irene Johnson Sauls Poole, 84, died Tuesday following a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Johnston County to the late Telpher and Millie Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Jarmon Johnson. She retired from Westinghouse Meter Plant of Raleigh after 36 years of service and was a longtime member of Garner Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Friday, 11:00 am at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 9:30-10:45 am prior to the service. Survivors include her sons, Mickey Sauls (Wilma) and William Glenn Sauls; grandchildren, Michael Sauls (Mary Jane), Karen Sauls, Christopher Sauls, Philip Sauls, Brandon Sauls (Kelly) and Ryan Sauls (Katharin); great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kassidy, Reid, Connor, Hunter and Olivia Sauls; brothers, Junior Johnson (Jeanette), John B. Johnson (Marie) and Charles Johnson (Jo); sisters, Wiladean Peacock and Nellie Capps (Matthew).
