Irva Williams Daniels

Irva Williams Daniels, 88, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017.  Irva was born in Johnston County to the late Joseph Adam Williams and Loma Massengill Williams. She was the widow of the love of her life,  Lester R. Daniels. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Edsel Williams, Josie W. Thompson and Lloyd Williams.  She is survived by her sister, Geraldine W. Myers.  Other survivors include daughter, Elizabeth D. Brame of Raleigh, and son, Phillip R. Daniels and Brenda(wife) of Arlington, Texas.  Grandchildren who survive are: Michael Brame(Sherrie), Gregory Brame(Leigh), Kelly Howard(Jason), Stephanie Daniels and Brandon(Crystal).  She is also survived by nine great grandchildren and a number of loving nieces and nephews. Irva was a graduate of Goldsboro High School.  She worked for the Belk-Leggett stores in Henderson, N.C. for thirty-nine years before retiring. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Hayes Barton Baptist Church on Saturday, June 17th followed with interment at 3:00 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Henderson, N.C.  The family will receive guests in the Church parlor beginning at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hayes Barton Baptist Church, 1800 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27608, for its television ministry. The family wishes to thank the many individuals who so generously supported our dear Mother during her illness including the Staff at Carillon of Knightdale, Stephanie Levan Elbel, P.A.  of Doctors Making Housecalls and Lawanda Koonce, her devoted caregiver/friend who assisted in caring for her while she was at home.
