RALEIGH -JP Wiggins of Raleigh passed away on Tuesday, June 5th, at the age of eighty-seven.He was a devoted husband to his wife, Elsie Clayton Wiggins for 65 years, a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a friend to all he met. He was the son of the late James Everett Wiggins, and Mary Love Wiggins and grew up as the youngest of 8 children on a farm in Johnston County. JP lived his life in service to his Savior Jesus Christ. JP was a committed Christian, serving as youth leader, Sunday School teacher and for many years as a deacon in his church. He had a special interest in youth ministry and supported Camp Dixie of Fayetteville, NC for over 20 years, including his can ministry.JP was also a hard working man who sometimes worked 2 jobs to provide for his family. JP worked as a farmer, and at Electric Motor Repair and retired from Electric Supply Company in 1989. JP left a legacy that will enrich our lives for many years to come. He is survived by his wife, Elsie,son, James Earl Wiggins and wife, Linda, and daughter, Arlene Wiggins Barbour. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Morgan Barbour, Brett Barbour, Missy Mabry and husband, Trent, Sandy Pinkus, and 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind special friends and heart family, Devon and Frances Holmes and Jason (wife Jennifer) and Melissa (husband John) who grew up loving him as their grandpa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 4 brothers and his 3 sisters. The family will receive family and friends, Thursday 6-8 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Funeral Services will be at Garner Advent Christian Church, Friday at 2 PM, with burial to follow in Montlawn Memorial Park. Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions can be made to Garner Advent Christian Church - 1120 Vandora Springs Rd, Garner, NC 27529 or Camp Dixie - 373 W Bladen Union Church Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28306. We want to extend a special thanks to Dr. Gregory Rose and Ginger Altieri at Wake Heart and Vascular for the years of wonderful care provided to my husband and our dad. We also want to express our thanks to the staff on 3 West at Rex Hospital and Hospice.
