Jackie Brantley Hill

Garner - Surrounded by those who loved her, Jackie Hill joined Jesus in paradise on September 5, 2021. She was 63 years old. Jackie was born in Wilson, NC, and raised in Raleigh. She graduated from Enloe High School and married her sweetheart and soulmate not long after. Jackie was the dearly cherished wife of Tony, who she knew and loved since the 1st grade. She was the adored "Nanny Bird" of Michael, Elliott, and Daniel, with whom she enjoyed baking goodies, playing games, and singing silly songs. She was the steadfastly devoted mom of Lisa and Pamela (Bea), the feisty sister of Bekki, and the beloved daughter of Mildred and the late Jan Brantley. Jackie was also a warm lap and a faithful source of treats for every fur baby she could bring home. She had a vibrant personality and was always ready for a long chat and a laugh about anything at all. She was a fighter who knew right from wrong and was never afraid to tell it. She was a giver who always made sure her family had what they needed. She never learned how to "cook for one" because her family treasured the leftovers. Her life revolved around her friends and family, whether it was planning holiday get-togethers or the next trip to the beach, she wanted to go all out. Jackie was well-known for her love of gardening, the color yellow, little children, and great big nose holes on animals. Known on social media as Esther Elizabeth, she had a soul as beautiful as the name suggests. Her sweet spirit is finally free from the health challenges that held her back. Now she's dancing and singing with her Pa and Granny in Heaven. She's praising her Lord and watching over us all, wanting so much for us to know Him too and to be happy. A memorial service will be held at Mid-Way Baptist church, 6910 Fayetteville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603 at 1 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2021, with a visitation to follow. Casual clothing is encouraged.
