Jackie "Mrs. Jackie" Castlebury

Angier- Jacqueline “Mrs. Jackie” Wade Castlebury, 88, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devoted daughter. She was affectionately known as "Mrs. Jackie", and passed away on Sunday, October 13th, 2024 at the age of 88 at home. Born in Angier, North Carolina on September 12, 1936, to Alma and Estes Wade.

Mrs. Jackie lived a life overflowing with love, kindness, and dedication to others. Her legacy will be cherished by generations to follow. For 50 years, Mrs. Jackie shared a loving marriage with her devoted husband, Billy Joe Castlebury. They built a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, adventure, and unwavering commitment.

For 20 years, Mrs. Jackie nurtured countless young hearts as a loving caregiver at Angier Baptist Church Day Care. She treated each child as her own, showering them with unconditional love, warmth, and guidance. Her selfless devotion helped shape the lives of countless families in her community. Following her tenure at the daycare, Mrs. Jackie continued her mission of care and compassion as an Administrator at Oak Hill Living Center for 16 years. Her unwavering commitment ensured each resident received love, dignity and exceptional care. Mrs. Jackie's impact extended far beyond her professional roles. Her family and friends will remember her fondly.

She was preceded by her husband, Billy Joe Castlebury, mother Alma Wade, brother Johnny Stephenson and granddaughter Rebecca Volpe.

She is survived by her son, Billy Wade Rogers (Kim) and her daughter Nicole Kirk (Billy). Granddaughters Leigh Ann Rogers, Billie Jean Rogers, Paige Lucas (Garrett), and Chloe Kirk. Four great-grandchildren, Taylor McNair, Levi Lucas, Lilly Ann Adams, and Joseph Wade Adams.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for the love and dedicated care they provided. Ann Dupree and Robbie O'Quinn, there are not enough words to express our appreciation for both of you.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16th at Angier Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 pm prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home her daughter, Nicole, 25 Morningside Lane Angier, NC 27501. Jackie will be interred at Lakeside Memorial Gardens at a later date.
