Jacob Lawrence Axberg

Jacob Axberg was born on September 1, 2000. He always had a love for life, spending most of his childhood either outside with his friends or playing a sport. He spent several years playing baseball at GBI in Garner, NC where he met some amazing friends and coaches. Later he moved on to play on the JV baseball team at Sanderson High School. While at Sanderson, he decided to give basketball a try and played all 4 years. If Jacob was your friend, he was loyal, passionate, had a love for life, and wore his heart on his sleeve. Jacob was a hard worker and loved working at both UPS and Taco Bell. Jacob will be missed by his mother (Jessica), his dad (John), his nana (Cherri), aunts and uncles, his girlfriend (Maya), cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Raleigh. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Friday. There will be a reception after the service at Jacob's Oxford home, 7805 Harps Mill Woods Run, Raleigh, NC 27615. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jessica Axberg to fund a scholarship for individuals who leave rehab and need future financial support to go to an Oxford home.
