James Albert Lagois

James A. LaGois, 49, passed away suddenly Jan. 25, 2018. James was a native of Colorado and the son of the late James and Donna LaGois. James worked in the maintenance field for many years. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. James served his country in the U. S. Army. James was a mentor and coach for over 30 years, coaching every sport, football, baseball, basketball, soccer and many others. He not only coached the kids but mentored them in all aspects of life. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his sons; Bradley LaGois and Travis LaGois; step-daughter, Katie Irwin; sister, Kendra Austin; brother, Albert Whaley and wife Beth; step-granddaughter, Emily; mother-in-law Betsy Royall, special friend Angela Wells and girlfriend Shelly Nolen. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday Feb. 4, 2018 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
