James Calvin West

James Calvin West, 70 of Fayetteville NC passed Monday August 27, at Highsmith - Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville after an extended illness. Mr. West born to Hazel Ray West Ryals Lonnie Lee West on July 29, 1948 in Raleigh NC. James was united in marriage to Daphane Elaine Baker West, they were blessed with two children. After Daphanes untimely passing, he was united in marriage to Linda Baughn and one child was born of this marriage. James owned his own Welding Service (West Welding Service) and also was employed with N.C. Steel for many years as a foreman. Lovingly remembered by his daughters Dawn West Davis (Doug) of Fuquay, Misty Michelle West (Brian) of Willow Springs, and a son James Calvin West II of the home. Sisters Carolyn West Hardy of Raleigh, Shirley West Hayward of Willow Springs, and a brother Marvin Kirby of Raleigh. He will be sadly missed by 6 grandchildren Megan, Erick, Hunter, Leah, Adrian, Hannah 1 great - granddaughter Kenlee. A host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Hazel Ray West Ryals (Carl) Lonnie Lee West, his loving wife Daphane and years later Linda. As well the following siblings: Linda Nordan - Tennessee Anne Wilson - Raleigh Lonnie Wayne West - Raleigh Charles Ray - Raleigh. Pallbearers: Marvin Kirby, Brian Byrd, Terence Stokes, Doug Davis, Erick Barbour, Hunter Davis. A private graveside service will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.
