James Coy Penny

GARNER – James Coy Penny, 92, died Monday at his home. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Mallie Andrew Penny and Ida Carroll Penny. He was employed with Westinghouse Corp. for 32 years. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include his daughter, Carol Penny of Raleigh; son, Andy Penny and wife, Sandy of Knightdale; sister, Peggy P. Veasey of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Carolyn Dren and husband, Michael of Fuquay-Varina, Adam Penny of Knightdale, Eric Penny and wife, Morgan of Archer’s Lodge, Kimberly Call and husband, Michael of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Olivia Penny, Victoria and Anthony Dren, McKenna and Jaxson Call. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Britt Penny; sister, Margaret Humphries; brothers, M.A. Penny and Vernon Penny.
