James Curtis Morgan

MORGAN, James Curtis, 84, of Richmond, Va., left us to meet his dear Lord and Savior, on December 10, 2016. He is survived by the love of his life and sweetheart, Barbara Tyson Morgan; four children, James Scott Morgan (Rhonda), Daniel Curtis Morgan, Laura Morgan Kellerman (Dave) and Mark Jada Morgan (Christina); nine grandchildren, Jamie, Matthew, Anna, Curtis, Ava, Hallie, Morgan, Cory and Tyler; and a great-granddaughter, LeighAnne. He was born and raised in Cary, N.C., with his three brothers, Jada, who preceded him in death, Truitt and Everett Morgan, who both still reside in North Carolina. Curtis dearly loved God, Country, family, Wrightville, Myrtle Beach, NASCAR and Elvis Presley. He knew the value of a dollar and hard work. He owned his own industrial boiler maker business, McGraw/Morgan, Inc. and was an excellent small business employer. Curtis proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, in Germany. Curtis was a proud man full of grit and integrity. He will be missed so much by all those he left behind. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Blileys-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd, Richmond, VA, 23224. There will also be a gathering of family and friends from 12 noon to 1:15 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 831 Wake Forest Rd., Raleigh, NC 27604, followed by a funeral ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow in Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603.
