Angier-James Dee 'Jim' Beasley, 91, passed away on Sunday at Universal Healthcare. A native of Harnett county he was the son of the late John Henry and Gillie Ann 'Annie' Barefoot Beasley.He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1940 - 1945. His service of action included the Pearl Harbor bombing, Guadalcanal, New George Island, and New Guinea. He was a member of the Benson American Legion, Post 109. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow at Wake Chapel Cemetery in Fuquay-Varina.Mr. Beasley is survived by a brother, Raymond V. Beasley of Willow Spring, special friend, Annie Ruth Stewart of Coats and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home.In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his daughter Buryl Deeann Beasley of Charlotte, NC, and ten siblings.
