James Edward Bruce, Jr.

James Edward Bruce, Jr., 68, passed away Saturday. He was a native of Pennsylvania and was the son of the late James E. Bruce, Sr. and Valetta Wonderling Bruce. James was a former OSHA Compliance Officer with the NC Department of Labor, Safety Standards Consultant and Environmental Health and Safety Consultant. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and was a Mason. James was an accomplished musician who loved to sing, play and entertain. A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel in Garner with Military Honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. He is survived by his loving family which includes his wife of 45 years, Karen Bruce; daughters, Shannon Bruce Oakley and husband, Jason, Niki Bruce; son, Dave Bruce; sisters, Terry Walker, Kim Hileman and husband, Dee, Kelly McCullogh, Lisa Reesman and husband, Ken, Jeffra Patton and husband, Jim; brother, Gary Bruce; and his grandchildren, Maite Bruce, Josef Bruce, Garrison Pearce, Gabriella Bruce.
