James G. Tutor

Angier - James Gaston Tutor, 91, passed away on Tuesday. A native of Harnett County he was the son of the late Ennis Albert and Nancy Catherine Cotten Tutor. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Force. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Tutor is survived by his brother, E. A. Tutor, daughter, Carmen Tutor Blanton and husband, Dean, son, James Carl Tutor and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Amy Arnold, Carey Arnold Cudd and husband, Chris, Carla Sparks and husband, David, Jamey Tutor and wife Whitney and Jeffrey Tutor; great-grandchildren, Corey Arnold, Camden Arnold, Rex Cogdill, Caroline Tutor and Nate Tutor. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor M. Tutor, brothers, Ambrose Tutor, Owen Tudor and Brantley Tutor, and sister, Grace Johnson. A special thanks goes to Jeanette Williams, devoted friend and caregiver, from the family of Mr. Tutor. The family will receive friends and family Thursday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier and at other times at the home.
