Raleigh - James Graham Roberts, 87, passed away November 12, 2011. James was a native of Raleigh and was born to the late Redding Jasper and Pauline Fern Roberts. Throughout Mr. Roberts life, he co-owned and operated Barnes Grocery, several service stations, R & B Used Cars and Charlie Browns Transmission. He retired a year and a half ago and was blessed with two wonderful business partners, each for over 25 years. He loved cars, going to the doughnut shop to sit with everyone, animals, especially our dogs, Brownie and Smokey, his daughters blueberry muffins, Pepsi colas and good food. Above all, he loved his family and friends more than anything else on Earth. Mr. Roberts is survived by his faithful and loving wife of 63 years, Aline Roberts. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Brenda Perry and husband, David of Raleigh, two wonderful grandchildren, Allison Woodlief and husband, Steve of Wake Forest and Amy Mills of Knightdale, his three precious great-grandchildren, Addison Lynn Woodlief, Hunter Cole Woodlief and Chase James Mills, who was named after him. A memorial service will be held in his honor Saturday, November 19th at 11AM at Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks RoadRaleigh, NC 27609. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the Church.
