RALEIGH - James William J.W. Ball, Sr., 78, passed away Sunday.Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday at Highland Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh.J.W. owned and operated Suburban Electric Service, Inc. for over 30 years.J.W. was preceded in death by his wife, Coretta O. Ball. He is survived by his daughters, Wanda Emel and husband, Greg of Apex, Denise Harrison and husband, Andy of Raleigh and Samantha Livesay and husband, Frank of Apex; son, James William Ball, Jr. and wife, Naomi of Youngsville; sisters, Shirley Royal and husband, John of Durham and Linda Wicker of Sanford; brothers Roy Ball of Swansea, S.C. and Len Ball and wife, Judy of Raleigh; sisters-in-law, Juanita Ball of Garner and Jeanette Ball of Smithfield; step-sons, Scott Carter and wife, Tonya of Reidsville and Steven Carter and wife, Ginny of Garner; step-daughter, Michelle Carter Jackson and husband, Johnny Murphy of Reidsville; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland Baptist Church Building Fund, 8524 Crowder Rd., Raleigh, NC 27603.
