Fuquay-Varina: James Lewis Rogers, 94, passed away on Friday at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Wake Co. to the late Sylvester and Annie Fish Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a WWII veteran of the US Army and a retired farmer; he was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalene Womack Rogers and a son-in-law, David Paul Dorman; one brother: Aaron Rogers and one sister, Ruth Poole. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday, March 24th at Kennebec Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery with military honors. Family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 1-2 pm. Survivors: Son: Bruce L. Rogers and a Daughter; Dale Rogers Dorman both of Fuquay-Varina. Four grandchildren: Jerrod Rogers, Hannah Rogers Wagner and her husband, Isaac, Jonathan and Jamie Dorman. Great-grandchildren: Savannah and Sarah Wagner, sisters and brothers; Mary Howard, Pearl Stanton, Vera Barbour, Catharine Davis, Lector Dewar and husband, Michael Gregory, Coy Rogers and Frances McLean.
