James Marshall Otto, 73, of Raleigh died Saturday. He was born in Johnston County to the late Edgar Bodo Otto and Bertie Jones Otto. He worked with Thompson Dental Company for 47 years serving as corporate manager of equipment. Marshall was a member of Garner FWBC and veteran of the Navy serving on the USS Destroyer Wren. He was also preceded in death by a brother Horace Otto. He is survived by his wife, Linda Norris Otto of Raleigh; sons, Larry and wife, Jean Otto of Raleigh; Chris and wife, Pam Otto of Raleigh; Kent and wife, Nickie Otto of Montreat, NC; grandchildren, Josh and wife, Whitney, Dean and wife, Jenifer, Noah and wife, Beth, Jason, Zack, Landon, Luke and Anna; great granddaughters, Emma, Kaylee, Bella and Anna; brother, Charlie; sisters, Jewell and Jo Ann and special nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be held 12:30PM Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church, 1417 Clifton St, Raleigh. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center at the church. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Temple Baptist Church or Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
