James Vaughan

James Hodges Vaughan, 76, of Willow Spring, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones. Jim was proud of his service in the Marine Corp and to his country, and was a faithful employee to Dodson Pest Control for most of his adult life, retiring as a Regional Manager. He enjoyed fishing with his family, Hurricanes Hockey, and was a true blue UNC Tarheel fan. Jim will be dearly missed and always remembered by those who knew him.

Jim was preceded in death by wives, Dorothy Vaughan and Peggy Vaughan, both of whom he cared for during illness prior to their passing. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Marcy Vaughan; and daughter, Nannette Baker; he is also survived by grandchildren, Clint and Katie (Haubner) Vaughan, Katie Vaughan, Caleb Vaughan, Natashia Vaughan, Chris and Janae (Moreno) Burcham, and Josie Burcham, as well as six great-grandchildren, Keilan, Antonio, Rowan, Hudson, Jonathan, and Waylon.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Jim’s honor. A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date for friends and family.
