Jamie Yates “J.Y.” Jones

Jamie Yates “J.Y.” Jones, Jr. 77, died Saturday. A native of Wake Co., he was the son of the late Jamie Y. Jones, Sr. and Alma Woolard  Jones. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial, Montlawn Memorial Park. Surviving, his wife of 55 years, Shirley Fish Jones; son, Scott Macon Jones and wife, Cindy of Garner; sisters, Helen Pearce of Beaufort, Betty Lawrence of Willow Spring, Mildred Harris of Beaufort, Faye Rogers and Sarah Fish, both of Raleigh and Jeannette Seefeldt of Raeford; grandchildren Nikki and Brad and great granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Amber and Karla. He was preceded in death by sisters, Clara Wray and Linda Fuller and brother, Millard Jones. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
