Jane Liles Hawley

Garner- Jane Liles Hawley, 69, died Wednesday. Jane was born October 5, 1944 to the late Buck Liles and Nettie Jane Pearce. She graduated from Rolesville High School. After graduation, she married Milton Hawley. Together they had one son, Mickey. Jane worked and retired from the Wake County Health Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton in 1999 and sisters, Ruby Duke and Peggy Gay. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Garner. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. She is survived by her son, Mickey Hawley and wife, Connie; grandchildren, Matthew, Hannah and Mikayla Hawley; brother, Robert Liles (Billie Ann); sisters, Shirley Hood, Brenda West and Mary O’Neal, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Jane had a quiet, humble spirit and enjoyed taking care of others ahead of herself. She was a loving Granny to her grandchildren and a loyal sister. She will be deeply missed. In 1999, Jane accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Today, she is rejoicing in his presence. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses that took care of her at Rex Hospital and at UNC Hospital ICU unit. Thank you for the many prayers, words of encouragement and the support shown to our family during this difficult time.
