Janice Faye Smith

CLAYTON - Janice Faye (Lamm) Smith, 78, of Clayton, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 8, 2021. Janice was born in Wilson, NC on October 19, 1942 and was one of seven children. She was a beloved mother of five and a dedicated wife of 60 years to James Robert Smith. Married in 1960, Janice and James raised their family in Rocky Mount, NC before relocating to Clayton, NC in 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents Donnie and Gertie Lamm of Wilson, NC, her brother Douglas Lamm, her first son James Robert Jr, and grandson Matthew Brannan. She is survived by her husband James R. Smith, her two daughters Angela (David) Gardner, Sonja (Jeffrey) Brannan, her two sons Steven (Patricia) Smith and her youngest, Kenneth Smith. Sisters, Louise Harrell, Nettie Mae Durham and Betty Hurley, brothers, Tommy Lamm and Ricky Lamm, Also, grandchildren April (Brian), Nicole (Jeffrey), Blake, Anthony, Joshua, Justin, Autumn (Jesse), and Jeremy and great-grandchildren Anna Lauren, Carrson, Mason, and Aubrey. She will be missed dearly by all who loved and cherished her but we are comforted in the fact that she will live for eternity in the presence of Christ our Lord! Graveside services will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Clayton, NC on March 12, 2021 at 2:00pm.
