Janice Lassiter Stephenson

GARNER – Janice Lassiter Stephenson, 86, passed away Wednesday. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner. Janice was born in Wake County to the late Annie Lassiter. With a servant’s heart, Janice faithfully served on the Town Board of Garner. She also worked with the State of North Carolina as Burial Commissioner, and with the North Carolina Wine Association. In addition to her mother, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Myron Stephenson; and by a son, Marty Stephenson. She is survived by her daughter, Mona Rich and fiancé, Mark Adams of Garner; sons, Tony Stephenson and wife, Cindy of Wilmington, Todd Stephenson and wife, Dawn of Phoenix, AZ; daughter-in-law, Wanda Stephenson of Garner; grandchildren, Jana, Julie, Tara, Kenidy, Cade; great grandchildren. Dominic, Dante, Lanie, Libby; and several fur babies. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Garner Baseball (GBI): 417 W. Main St., Garner, NC 27529.
