Janie Vernelle Proctor (Jane) Arnold

Janie V. Arnold of Raleigh, NC died Wednesday February 5th with family and friends by her side. She was born May 26, 1925 in Spring Hope NC and was the daughter to the late Walter Eva Proctor. Funeral services will be held at Bryan-Lee Funeral home in Raleigh, NC with a visitation being held for family and friends on Friday February 7th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service with be held Saturday February 8th at 1:00 PM at Ephesus Church on Hillsborough St. Burial ceremony to follow service at Pearce Baptist Church in Zebulon NC. Janie was an active member of Ephesus Baptist Church and loved her church family. Janie was known for her kind heart and dedication to the Lord. She was a loving wife and devoted mother to her two boys. She always held out hope that one day there would be a cure for diabetes. She always made time to visit with her grandchildren which would always make her smile. Her smile would light up any room. Her favorite thing was to color and do puzzles with her great grandchildren. Janie was preceded in death by her late husband Alex Edward Arnold and son Vernon Alex Arnold. Janie is survived by her grandson Stephen D. Arnold and wife Sandra D. Arnold. She was survived by her great grandchildren Taylor K. Arnold and fiancé Justyn Perry, and Dylan S. Arnold. She has several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She has one living son Herbert S. Arnold and wife Judy Arnold. She had one granddaughter Samantha Arnold.
