Jason Wayne Talley

Jason Wayne Talley, 48, of Cary, North Carolina went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 21, 2022. Jason was born in Raleigh, NC on December 27, 1973. He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Talley, adoring children, Hayley (15) and Keaton (12), father and wife John and Roberta Talley, mother and husband Dottie and David Peters, sister and husband Devon and Joe Villareal, and half-brother and wife Tre and Cindy Reeves.

Jason had a long career in Information Technology, growing from a help desk engineer through ITmanagement and eventually a Director of IT. He is a graduate of Cary High School and attended EastCarolina University and North Carolina State University.As a proud and loving father, Jason participated in YGuides with both Hayley and Keaton. They attended meetings, events and father-child outings. A favorite place of his and the kids was the annual Camp Rockmont weekend in Black Mountain, NC. Jason and his family loved vacationing together at Topsail Island, NC. The sea air and ocean waves were always a source of serenity for Jason and Sarah. Jason’s unbridled enthusiasm about the NC State Wolfpack was unparalleled. There is little doubt that after meeting Jesus and his half-sister, Ashley, that he is running the floor of Heaven looking to hug Jimmy V. He was a season ticket holder for both football and basketball and thoroughly enjoyed attending games with his family and friends. As a huge Atlanta Braves fan, Jason was delighted as he followed nightly during the epic 2 nd half and post-season run that resulted in the 2021 World Series Championship.

To say Jason was the life of the party is an understatement. He loved to dance and sing…oh how he loved to sing…you couldn’t stop him from singing, and his voice was beautiful. Making people smile, laugh and feel good was one of Jason’s favorite things to do. He was a tender-hearted man, so full of love and laughter. His quick wit, clever commentary, silly antics, and loving heart will be deeply missed by so many.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 11:00AM at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 804 High House Road, Cary NC. A reception will be held immediately after in the Gallery building next door to the church.
