Jason Willard Matthews

ANGIER - Jason Willard Matthews, 79, passed away on Wednesday. A native of Harnett County he was the son of the late Norman and Clyda Matthews. He was a proud grandfather and had the biggest heart of anyone his family has ever known. He loved life and his greatest love, happiness and achievements were his wife, grandchildren and family. He is truly loved by many and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial to follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his sons, Donnie Ray Matthews and wife, Wanda of Angier, David Willard Matthews and wife, Beverly of Harrells, sisters, Kathryn Dixon of Benson, Barbara Hardee of Angier, and Judy McLamb of Benson, brother, Lynnwood Matthews of Rocky Mount, grandchildren, Mary Grizzard, Timothy, Brandon and Jason Matthews, great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Adam and Hunter Grizzard, and Haley Matthews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Mildred Matthews and brother, J. C. Matthews. The family will receive friends Saturday 6:00 -8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
