Jason William Walder

January 27, 1983 — January 17, 2022

Jason William Walder Born, January 27th, 1983. He was a beautiful baby boy, 9 lbs. 21 inches, a round chubby face with deep brown eyes, and curls and eyelashes that would make any woman jealous. Jason grew up in Queens NY, then came to Cary NC with his parents and sister Erica whom he adored. Jason was a warrior, an individual who you could not keep down, even when things were terrible. Jason suffered from a brain tumor at the age of four, the doctors at that time gave Jason only five years. And that was the beginning of his ability and strength to beat the odds. As he grew, Jason had to deal with many other challenges in his life, including the long-term side effects from those treatments when he was a child. From his short stature to, at times, his own confidence level, he still managed to touch the hearts and minds of everyone he met. Even when he suffered from three strokes, he kept his sense of humor and picked up right from where he left off. His sense of humor went from the sublime to the ridiculous and enjoyed laughing, playing pool and Uno as well as listening to good hard rock music, and eating the home cooking of his mom which he enjoyed so much. You would have to keep an eye on him when playing Uno or pool, although he would deny it, we would every so often, have to ask what happened to all of his pool balls that were on the table? His humor would include creating with his sister, a photo album for their germaphobic dad, showing pictures that would make him cringe or dropping ice cubes down his back, but Jason could take it too when his Dad dropped ice cubes down his back or scared him silly when he least expected it. When we had a difficult day at work, or we're just tired, just hearing Jason laugh at his favorite comedies and cartoons, such as Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, or Rick and Morty would erase the day’s problems, and we would just crack us up. Jason loved to watch General Hospital with his mom and they would have in-depth conversions of the day's soap opera events and try to guess what will happen next. Jase also loved to shop with his mom, they were the quinsidential shoppers. He called it his “escapades” with mom. Jason enjoyed cooking and baking with his mom, and was an avid video game player. Jason was a true Tar Heel fan when they played against Duke or teams he did not like and he would have his Tar Heel shrine with his Tar Heel Gnomes, and Chapel Hill Paraphernalia at the ready, Jason and his mom would scream and make all kinds of noise when they were winning, as well as losing. He even got his grandmother into becoming a true Tar Heel fan, with her pom-poms t-shirt and all. They would call each other to tell each other that they were winning or what happened when they lost. Jason loved his aunt Teri, They had a very special relationship, Jason was her bunny, and she was his Auntie Mame character from the movie “Auntie Mame”. Jason was the center of her universe; there wasn’t anything his Aunt Teri would not do for him if he asked. He loved her so much. Jason was a beautiful soul, who was able to create so much light wherever he went, even when things would seem so dark. He had the strength and courage to overcome all the obstacles that were before him, and always smiled and laughed. Jason was so proud to be an uncle of three beautiful boys; Bruce, Luke, and Jude Camilletti, children of his sister Erica, and Jon Camilletti, they were the love of his life. We were so blessed to have had Jason in our lives for the past thirty-eight years, he brought so much joy and light, and love to his entire family, and friends. He leaves his entire family, broken-hearted, but with some peace knowing that he is playing Uno with his grandfather and dancing with his grandmother Golita and making G-D, his Angels and Souls laugh and happy in Heaven. You are missed so much already and will always be with us in our hearts and minds. We all love you Jason so much, sweet dreams.
