J.C. Ashworth

FUQUAY-VARINA- J.C. Ashworth, 85, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Born in Harnett County, he was preceded in death by his parents Janie Douglas Ashworth and Albert Ashworth.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel A. Rogers, son, Jeffrey C. Ashworth (Tracy); daughters, Pamela J. Sorrell (Sam) and Sharon Denkins (Randy); grandchildren, Caroline Driver (Bradley), Victoria DiMicheli (Jake), and Ashley Denkins; sister, Betty Nunnery (Marshall).

J.C. and Rachel were married for 22 years and blended their families which added additional children, Christopher R. Prince (Rebecca), Angela D. Prince, and Robin E. Johnson (Jeff); grandchildren Keri Wiginton (Chris), Julie Johnson (Sawyer), Will Johnson, Grayson, Bladen, Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Bradley Johnson and Jaxon Perry.

J.C. was also preceded in death by his brother, Willie L. Ashworth.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Willow Spring. Family visitation will be prior to the service on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm.
