Jean Pearce Muse

RALEIGH – Jean Pearce Muse, 80, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Forest Hills Baptist Church, Raleigh. The family will receive friends in the Rose Garden following the service. A private graveside will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton. Jean was born in Franklin County on January 9, 1940, the daughter of the late Luther and Elizabeth Stallings Pearce. A woman of faith, Jean was a dedicated member of Forest Hills Baptist Church where she served in various capacities, including as a Deacon, Nursery Coordinator, the flower committee and the bereavement committee. Her Godly example will be deeply missed by her church family and friends in the days ahead. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Carey Cornelius Muse, Jr.; and a brother, James Stallings. She is survived by her son, Carey C. Muse, III of Raleigh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jean’s memory to Forest Hills Baptist Church, Raleigh. Arrangements are by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Raleigh.
