Jean Rhyne Byrd

ANGIER - Jean Rhyne Byrd, 90, died Saturday, A native of Guilford Co., she was a long time resident of Angier and Raleigh and the daughter of the late Beatrice Chainey Rhyne and Rev. Sloan Alexander Rhyne. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Angier with burial to follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. Surviving: sons, Raleigh Edgar Bill Lee and his wife, Joan of Knightdale and Robert Warren Bob Lee of Angier; daughter, Betty Jean Lee Gardner and her husband David of Angier; grandchildren, Mark Gardner (Lori) of Lillington, Penny Gardner Weaver (Michael) of Angier, Joe M. Gardner (Chris) of Lillington, Clay E. Gardner (Denise) of Angier and Jennifer Carol Lee of Henderson and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, S.A. Rhyne, Jr., Dwight C. Rhyne, Clyde D. Rhyne and William N. Rhyne and sisters, Thelma R. Vines and Violet R. Byrd. Family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier and at other times at the home of David and Betty Jean Gardner, 997 Matthews Mill Pond Road, Angier.
