Jeanie Ruth Wilson Rickman

Ruth Wilson Rickman, 98, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 24, 2022. She was born October 17, 1923, in Mecklenburg County, Virginia to Willie and Betty Stembridge Wilson. She was an office manager for 30 years with Vulcan Materials in Raleigh and previously worked with Life of Virginia Insurance Co., Capital Ice and Coal Co. in Raleigh and the VA Hospital in Durham.

She is predeceased by her husband Howell Rickman, her brothers Allie and Preston Wilson, and her sisters Flossie Whitlow, Mamie Fulp, and Lorean Ashworth.

Surviving are her son, Randall Rickman of Raleigh; sisters, Lucille Pendleton and Jean Allgood of Virginia; nieces, Susan Ashworth, Betty Ruth Smith, Connie Winn, Michelle Rickman, Harriet Ashby, and Linda Vassar all of Virginia. Nephews Kevin Allgood and Charles Winn of Virginia; great-niece, Elizabeth Coleman and great-nephew, Chuck Coleman (Jessie) of Raleigh.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Raleigh. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
