Jeanne C. Russell

Garner- Jeanne Hicks Russell, 78, died Monday. Formerly of Montgomery, AL, she was the daughter of the late Mack Hicks and Amelia Moore Hicks. Jeanne proudly served her country in the United States Air Force. Jeanne was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hampton, VA. She also lived and worked in Hampton, Va.Jeanne was preceded in death by a brother; Mack Hicks, Jr.She is survived by her husband, William Harvey; her daughter, Angela Russell Mitchum; son, Cedric Russell and his wife, Mary; sisters, Frances Thomas and Leila Rudder; brothers, John Hicks and Ralph Hicks; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and a large extended family.Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 Noon Saturday Dec. 22, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garner, North Carolina. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
